本書收錄二十二首詩作，內容包含作者跨海參加國際詩歌節的所見、所思的風土人情，在〈禮讚安地斯山脈〉中以「偉大傲岸的安地斯山脈呀！／古文明的歌聲與節奏／在日日咀嚼古柯葉的齒縫裡／不斷向神的詩句致意」，精彩描寫了異國風景的壯闊與歷史；書中同時也涵蓋個人生活情思的紀錄，在〈最後一眼〉中透過「為了看看媽媽／撐著的傘／一路抵擋強力海風的吹折／為了摸摸媽媽的鼻息／無情的雨／打向我急走而汗濕的衣衫」詩句，深刻表現對母親的愛。
為了讓更多人看見林鷺的作品，顧及世界多數國家以英文為主要溝通橋樑，並因應拉丁美洲等西班牙語系國家交流的需要，分別以漢英西三語集結創作，跨越海洋的限制。且讓我們悠遊在林鷺詩海中，聽聽她想傳遞什麼樣的聲音吧！
