這本手冊介紹最新的生成式AI在建築設計之「基本設計」和「敘事性建築計劃」中的應用，提供高效率和控制品質的操作方法。本手冊使用的AI軟體為Midjournry（以下簡稱MJ）V6和ChatGPT3.5，內容包含參考軟體公司的官方網站資訊，以及課堂上的實際教學和應用心得編寫而成。上列兩個軟體功能強大，本手冊中只介紹與手冊主題相關的若干指令、功能與參數。手冊中的圖片，除了另有註明以外，都是使用MJ生成的。
「基本設計」是建築設計在進入「細部設計」之前，開發概念和初步設計策略的階段所進行的工作，包括建立初步草圖、示意圖以及空間組織和佈局等，用以探索和溝通設計理念。使用MJ可以在設計初期快速將構想轉換成建築影像，本手冊part2的內容就是說明如何運用MJ來支援基本設計。

This handbook introduces the latest applications of generative AI in “Narrative Architectural-Programming” and “Schematic Design” in architectural design, providing efficient and quality-controlled operational methods. The handbook utilizes Midjourney(referred to as MJ hereafter) V6 and ChatGPT, incorporating information from software companies‘ official websites as well as practical teaching and applications in the classroom. The functionalities of these two software programs are only introduced regarding the topics relevant to this book. Except where otherwise noted, the images in the handbook are generated using MJ.
“Schematic Design" is the stage in architectural design where conceptual development and initial design strategies are explored and communicated, including creating preliminary sketches, schematic diagrams, spatial organization, and layout to assess the feasibility of design concepts before entering the "Detailed Design" phase.
