二十一世紀初期,古典文學研究的重點顯然是整合與跨界,因為角度多元,必須進行「文學」內外跨界的理解,而跨越界線之後,才有更豐富具體的傳統與當代的整合。臺灣大學中文系十數位同仁,合作推動以「文學典範的建立與轉化」為題的整合研究,可說是在重寫文學史或文學批評史的潮流中,進行更後設性的反省,同時照顧到解構主義盛行以來,如何由文本到文本環境乃至於話語權力等等的觀點轉移。全書尤其針對「重新脈絡化文本」與「知識體系的對話與爭逐」兩大主題進行深刻的反思,希望為重寫文學史開拓新視野。
