本書為國立台灣工藝研究發展中心苗栗分館舉辦「100童話仙境-苗栗陶藝展」，展覽內容主要以「柏瑞幅國」、「阿尼斯國」、「拉芙國」、「賀普國」、「阿古斯國」這五大國度為主題，分別呈現勇敢、誠實、愛、希望和善良的重要價值，並挑選100個東西方相 關童話故事代表的陶瓷作品展出。藉由本裝飾陶瓷刻劃生動人物主角，呈現故事多元面貌，深入了解苗栗裝飾陶瓷的意義，從發展過程中發掘真實並且感動人心的故事，藉由魔法讓當代美學生活融入裝飾陶瓷藝品傳達人生哲學及經驗。
