為提供各機關最新辦理案例，爰重新蒐集篩選90年至96年間具有代表性之實例，予以分類整理成本彙編。本彙編蒐集之人力評鑑案例，依業務性質分類為文教、一般行政、經建、財稅、衛生環保、法務治安、國營事業、其他及追蹤評鑑等9類，內容涵蓋從組織、業務及 人力等層面分析之評鑑結果。此外，為提升本彙編之參考運用價值，本次新增人力評鑑文獻初探、各評鑑案例建議執行情形管考統計一覽表、訪查共同發現摘錄、實地訪查經驗分享，並修正人力評鑑標準作業流程（SOP），及更新或增刪人力評鑑常用規定等內容。
